Just thought everyone might like to know, we are still here.  I'm trying the mini for a year.  i know lots of people are now ditching their Nings, and in all honesty I haven't really used mine a lot lately - but I think the price is pretty low so I'm going to give it a try.  it's either that or dive into live journal.  I know Ning was free for such a long time,but almost everything comparable is charged for, so i'm keeping this one.
